Paul Bartlett (Deputy Editor)
Paul Bartlett is a shipping consultant with a background in ship finance and shipping business journalism. He now works for himself but, prior to this, spent the last five years working as a Director of the London Shipping Consultancy, a provider of shipping due diligence services to financial institutions engaged in maritime lending.
Prior to that, Paul worked in the London office of First International, a Bermuda-based ship leasing and finance company. During the nine years he spent there, the company owned and bareboat chartered some 20 vessels to end users including major oil companies, steel conglomerates and state shipping lines.
Earlier, in 1978, having completed his Degree in Nautical Studies, Paul had joined Seatrade magazine as a trainee journalist. He held various editorial positions at the magazine before being appointed Editor in 1982. He left the magazine to join First International in 1987. |
